ROCCA&FRIENDS TRUCK in ARASHIYAMA launched its summer-limited gelato lineup from May 15, 2026. The highlight is a two-tone cup pairing jet-black bamboo charcoal gelato with rock salt vanilla using Hokkaido fresh cream (¥750). The black-and-white contrast is an annual social-media staple.
A yomogi gelato using Arashiyama-grown mugwort is planned for June. Five minutes from Arashiyama Station on the path to the bamboo grove, it fits squarely on the main tourist route. Peak queues form between 2–3pm; morning visits are recommended.
